Movies are THE MOST powerful medium, they can change the world! It doesn’t make sense for filmmakers to not put their films on IndieFlix.

“I wish more filmmakers would self-distribute as a first choice, rather than a last resort. Yeah, it’s a pride-swallowing, infinitely challenging experience, but it’ll change your life in the most beautiful and empowering ways. The minute I decided to purposely and aggressively control my film’s journey from beginning to end, IndieFlix became an invaluable partner. Everyone there is passionate, completely unfull of themselves and genuinely kind. Those Indieflixers truly love filmmakers, and it shows in everything they do. I’m proud that THIS IS THE LIFE is now a part of the company’s history as its first day-and-date theatrical/DVD release. Very much looking forward to more good things with these good folks.”

IndieFlix has done amazing things for a crackpot comedy I produced called Freedom State; a timeless and quirky film about a group of mental health patients who inherit the Earth after the apocalypse. It did well on the festival circuit and became somewhat of a cult film among some people who saw it. Some of them e-mailed me claiming they watched it hundreds of times, some even told me that it changed their lives. Everyone who worked on it wanted film lovers to have easy access to it, because even though it’s G-rated, it is definitely not mainstream Hollywood. IndieFlix helped us out by making it available on their website, and then they did something even more amazing and got us distribution on Netflix and iTunes. All of the cast and crew put so much hard work into the project. Won’t they be surprised when I get to tell them about our new distribution channels?! They will be thrilled that people who love unusual films like they do will have a chance to see Freedom State thanks to IndieFlix!

Filmmakers are wondering how to get their work out in a more accessible way. There is confusion around how to best release across outlets like iTunes and Hulu. Indie filmmakers need what IndieFlix delivers.

It was very exciting to align with such a forward thinking, independent-minded woman & company. I was truly honored to be a part of it, and humbled by your smashing popularity from the gate. Congrats to all at IndieFlix.

When my film played at other festivals, audiences were small, and comprised mostly of the filmmakers whose films were accepted. Having my film play on Indie-fest broadened the audience and more people were exposed to my film than would have at a traditional film festival screening. I also received direct feedback from the audience which was an added bonus.
-Timothy Plain, Filmmaker, The Lost Coast

My film, which has no distribution, was just seen by 6000 people on Indie-fest. That is amazing.

Indie-fest and the festival staff were both terrific. The festival team was smart, saavy, and very filmmaker friendly.

Thanks in no small part to the exposure from IndieFlix, I have been offered a distribution contract which will put both films directly into video stores!

In 1927 my Grandfather said, “Only silent film is true cinema, talkies are just a fad.”>
In 1939, my father said, “This color thing won’t last, Black and White is just too beautiful”
In 2001, I shot my feature “Outpatient” in digital HD, it won five ‘Best Picture’ awards, but all I ever heard in the festival Q and A’s was, “This digital thing is OK but 35mm is the real thing”. My answer was always, “Digital isn’t better but like sound and color, it’s inevitable, unstoppable, the big next thing.”

Since signing with IndieFlix, my ‘festival favorite’ film has enjoyed a new life. As a comedy, “Making Arrangements” attracted a lot of attention during its festival run, but never found a good home in distribution land. The business model IndieFlix developed is a win-win – especially for already cash-strapped filmmakers. A dedication to an even playing field with a fair and accountable financial agreement for filmmakers, is a rare and coveted element in the all-talk no-walk world of indie distribution. IndieFlix is an opportunity for my feature film to come out of the closet, put on something sparkly, and dance a few rounds. With a funk band. Cause who doesn’t like funk?

Too often great films don’t reach their audience, IndieFlix will change that.

IndieFlix allows a community of viewers who truly care about film to respond to a filmmaker’s work through a unique system of comments, links, and blogs. All filmmakers dream of selling millions of copies of their movie, but the dream is never truly quenched without understanding how your film is perceived by an audience. IndieFlix has satisfied the latter, and in the near future, perhaps both.

I was very excited to discover your distribution outlet, as it sounds like a creative and very much needed approach to independent film distribution. Until now, we have been self-distributing my last feature film, “The Scam Artist”, through the official site. But I believe IndieFlix may be the home it has been waiting for!
