Pure, Unadulterated Washington Film at Grand Illusion

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

The Grand Illusion Cinema in Seattle’s University District launched it’s first Washington Grown Film Festival – celebrating the best of Northwest film with exciting opportunities for fans to meet the filmmakers and see uniquely Washingtonian films – all were written, directed and produced in state.

Festival coordinator Benny Trevett recommended that audiences check out “Geek Like Me,” the story of a meat-eating Seattle man with a vegan girlfriend. The sketch comedy “Black Daisy” and animated shorts “Paste Dogg Video Comix” are also not to be missed.

Here’s a map to the Cinema. If you haven’t been there yet, the Grand Illusion is Seattle’s oldest running cinema. Go check it out!
