La Panzanella was founded in 1990 to meet the demand for Italian baked goods. Retail stores and upscale restaurants were among the first to offer La Panzanella’s artisan products to their customers.
In 1997, La Panzanella began to experiment with classic regional recipes, using locally available ingredients. As the final result, an herb-infused rustic cracker was developed, and the Croccantini (the Italian translation for “Crunchy Little Bite”) was born.
