Pictograms

Objects are embedded in the written language that describes them, turning from Chinese characters to the mountains and rivers themselves.

The film was written, directed and animated by Seattle Academy alum Brigit Baker, now a freshman at the University of Chicago. She started animation work in her junior year of high school.

“The piece allowed me to bring together two things that interest me very much,” said Brigit. “the Chinese language and hand-drawn animation.”
